Sometimes you just can´t refuse hunger. So what is a better place to choose than just sitting down in the restaurant street leading up to the theater…looking at the crowd of tourists passing by. The owner of the kiosk that sold the pomodoro sandwich outside the archeological excavation of Pompeji helped us to park the car, gave us an espresso, said ”aspetta” and went away. Came back with fresh, warm bread and then the wife made our vendura sandwiches. The very sandwich that catches the little boys eye in the picture…But Stefan held on tight to this food made of gold.
